DNA Layer turns supported consumer raw-DNA exports into a personalized health layer. Deterministic software parses the file and matches supported markers to a curated evidence panel before a language model explains verified findings. The original full file is read locally in the browser and is not retained by DNA Layer. The product is informational and does not diagnose, treat, or replace clinical testing.

Supported consumer exports: original 23andMe, AncestryDNA, and standard MyHeritage ZIP or text files. TellMeGen support is newer and less tested. Whole-genome or whole-exome VCF, BAM, CRAM, and FASTQ files are not currently supported.
Privacy boundary: the original full DNA file is parsed in the browser and not retained; supported marker derivatives and generated findings are stored privately so the user can access the report.
Evidence boundary: deterministic matching comes before language- model explanation. A model does not inspect the raw file or introduce a finding that was not already matched.
Product boundary: consumer genotype files cover selected markers, not every relevant variant. Consequential findings may require clinical confirmation and qualified professional review.
