Sample DNA health report: what DNA Layer shows
DNA Layer turns supported markers from an existing consumer DNA file into a readable layer: prioritized health areas, finding-level evidence and limitations, and a plan for what to explore next. The view below is representative, not a person’s report.

A summary before the variant detail
The report starts by grouping findings into consumer health areas such as nutrients, heart, metabolism, brain, sleep, fitness, medications, and prevention. It surfaces patterns worth reading first instead of presenting hundreds of unranked SNP rows.
Evidence and limits stay attached to the finding
DNA Layer matches genotypes in deterministic software before any language-model explanation. Each supported finding carries its evidence strength, sources, and limitations. Clinical classifications and prescribing guidance are checked against a safety floor that includes ClinVar, ClinGen Actionability, CPIC, FDA labels, and PharmGKB. Read the full evidence methodology.
An action plan, without pretending DNA is destiny
The full layer sorts findings into strengths, things to try, and things worth attention. That structure is for prioritization, not diagnosis. Lifestyle, environment, family history, ancestry, measurement quality, and chance still matter, and important findings may need clinical confirmation.
A reusable report for follow-up questions
Unlocking includes an agentic report export with the verified findings and citations. It is designed to give Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant grounded context for follow-up questions instead of asking a general chatbot to interpret the original raw DNA file unaided.
The original file is not retained
The raw file is read locally in the browser. DNA Layer sends supported marker derivatives for analysis and keeps the resulting derived findings privately so the report remains available. The original raw file itself is not stored. Read the private DNA analysis checklist for the questions worth asking any service.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a real person’s DNA report?
No. The image is a representative view of the production report interface and contains no person’s raw DNA file or identity. Your report content depends on the supported markers and findings in your own file.
Will every DNA Layer report contain the same findings?
No. Provider coverage and individual genotypes differ. DNA Layer reports which supported findings were detected and keeps limitations visible; it does not invent a result for an untested or unsupported marker.
Can the report diagnose a disease?
No. DNA Layer is informational and educational. Important findings may require confirmation in a clinical laboratory and review by a qualified healthcare professional.
What happens to the original raw DNA file?
It is read locally in the browser and not retained by DNA Layer. Only supported marker derivatives needed for analysis and the resulting derived findings are kept privately so the layer remains available in your account.
