Do not treat a consumer file as a diagnosis
The FDA notes that direct-to-consumer services may test different variants and apply different interpretations. NHGRI warns that third-party raw-data analysis can produce false positives. A missing call does not rule out a condition, and a consequential result should be confirmed through an appropriate clinical pathway before action.
